Sunday 9thAugust

Struggled the last few circuits. Really pleased to have the company of my Wheelers mates.  And of course the support of the villagers that were outside Parva House each time I came through from 8am.

It is a great circuit to put the mileage in with out being more than 5 miles from home. I have on other occasions only thought of the ride out of Scredington being the hilly bit but you know, it is an undulating 10 miles with perhaps the only bit of flat road being on Mareham Lane. Well that is how I saw it today. The two railway bridges seemed like mountains today.

6 hours 33 minutes was the time recorded. A 15 mph schedule was 6-40. I am pleased with that and expect to bring in around £600 for the Chapel. Much better than halving £150 for a Historic Churches day.
