The first record we can find of Cycling in Sleaford is taken from the Grantham Journal, Saturday may the 17th 1879.

"BICYCLE CLUB. The first run of the members in uniform took place on Tuesday evening, when about a dozen went as far as the "Tally Ho," at Aswarby and back."
